10月6日，由中国科学技术大学大纽约地区校友会主办的2019中国科大纽约峰会在纽约市曼哈顿中城万豪酒店(New York Marriott Marquis)隆重举行！近500名校友和朋友们齐聚纽约共同参加了峰会，在峰会上嘉宾和参会者们就多个行业的前沿和热点话题进行了精彩的讨论，并一起交流了行业经验，分享了彼此的人生故事。整个峰会现场的气氛热烈而欢快，掌声不断！

各位特邀嘉宾一起就眼下的中美贸易战形势，资本市场的现状和未来经济走势等话题展开深入的讨论，为参会来宾们就经济话题发表了各自的见解。各位嘉宾们见解深刻，言谈风趣，现场气氛也十分的热烈。

陈定举校友作为主持人，为大家分别介绍了每位嘉宾的教育和工作背景，并对当下的经济形势作出了“错综复杂，瞬息万变”的概述。
论坛嘉宾：胡刚（清华91）
主题讨论开始，胡刚嘉宾发表了中美贸易战议题的演讲。胡刚首先点明，中美贸易战是结构性的，将会持续多年的。短期而言，在胡刚嘉宾的预测里，10月之前贸易战将继续僵持，但会在11月（感恩节之前）出现一个暂时性的进展，其原因是与美国政坛局势变化密切相关的。民主党主导的弹劾案已经对川普造成了腹背受敌的影响，对于意在连任的川普的川普来说，在近期的政治舆情中，他将会有失去共和党支持、失去中间选票的风险。因此，与两党关系都很微妙的川普手中，经济政策将会是川普手中一张极其重要的牌，也是美国政坛博弈的关键出路。
论坛嘉宾：马勇
马勇嘉宾也表达了对于贸易战的观点。纵观世界历史，有十数次霸主国家对挑战者发动的战争，目的很清晰，是为了维持霸主地位。贸易战的动机，本质上就是美国试图压制中国崛起，因此将会是长期的。
论坛嘉宾：谭晓强
讨论到各国央行对于贸易战和经济放缓的应对方法，谭晓强嘉宾认为：各央行实际上对于贸易战并没有完备的应对方案，可采取的手段不多，粗放的贸易工具也难以保证有效性。总体而言，美国，欧洲和日本的央行在现行体系下很难有所发挥，难以本质上扭转可能的经济下滑和生产力降低的走势，因为单纯从资本角度很难解决人口老龄化和科技瓶颈所带来的问题。
论坛嘉宾：黄颖
就政府可能采取的的应对手段，黄颖校友发表了自己的看法。现有政治和经济格局下，美国可以采取的手段有限，继续减税的方案已经难以通过；而在如今财政赤字巨大，两党分别控制两院的情形下，政府加大投资同样困难重重。在欧洲，因为欧盟的约束，各国不能大幅度扩张赤字，目前只能使用负利率手段刺激经济。然而中国政府在持有资金的局面下，是有能力通过政府投资，发展科技产业，从而摆脱困境的。
专题论坛现场
在开放议题的讨论中，嘉宾们就各国货币竞贬有效性和其负面影响表达了各自的观点，并且详细阐述了降息、投放货币等手段可能带来的风险。谈到消费者支出，政府支出，企业支出三者谁能够拯救经济困局时，胡刚嘉宾认为，这是个变化中的时代，在AI等科技的快速发展中，各国都需努力适应新的经济系统。在论坛的最后，嘉宾们以美国和欧洲为例，阐述了经济格局的变化带来的危机，机遇和社会变革。
